Mac 'Cyber' Lipstick
I've joined the dark side...or at least my lips have! I've been looking for that perfect shade I'll be puckering up to all autumn and this is it. Plum, grape and the darkest berries are the way forward; this one from Mac is a deep shade of purple that looks almost black, but not quite, as soon as the sun goes down.
Sorry for the awkward shot I'll show it in all its glory later this week- I've got some new buys that need sharing in a style post asap!

Other than the fact it's directed by Sharif Hamza this Dazed & Confused editorial also caught my eye as it features Argentine model Naomi Preizler. I was lucky enough to meet her briefly whilst working at StyleCaster in New York back in May when she came in to do a new faces editorial and I found she really stood out from the rest. Not only did she have great personal style, but she was also really happy and upbeat. Since then I have seen her pop up on a couple of blogs and as well as appearing in resort presentations for Alexander Wang, Catherine Malandrino and Richard Chai, she also seems to be booking more and more editorials plus she also has her upcoming debut at New York Fashion Week. With those amazing eyebrows, unique look and carefree attitude I'm sure she'll go far.

Having created jewellery for both Alexander Wang and Joseph Altuzarra's Fall 2010 collections, lots of people have sat up and taken notice of Gaia Repossi and her incredible personal style hasn't gone unnoticed. At only 20 she became creative director of the Repossi families multi-million pound Jewellery company and the lucky lady also enjoys her mum's designer hand-me-downs- like a certain 70's couture YSL cape pfft! However she does have quite the wardrobe herself; Celine, Chanel and Wang amongst a couple of her faves. Of course she hangs around with the coolest of cool and can be seen with Julia Restoin Roitfeld, fellow jewellery collaborator Eugenie Niarchos and Charlotte Casiraghi, plus she is still only twenty three, need i go on... ok Karl Lagerfeld's a fan too. Enough said.

So I wouldn't say that I'm usually a leopard print kind of gal but I've been seeing a lot of flashes of leopard recently and I like it! The fall catwalks had loads of variations on the print but these looks from Dries van Noten, Etro, Gucci and 3.1 Phillip Lim, particularly caught my eye as they're all quite understated.I'm also loving the print on accessories, especially this amazing rucksack, as well as the Chloe Sevigny for O.C socks Phiphie replicated in a previous post. Then the top image caught my eye! Luxirare has been having similar problems to me trying to find a stylish camera bag, so she came up with this beauty! Unfortunately for me she has designed it specifically to fit the Nikon D90 and mine is a D5000 :(  However for those of you with a camera that fits she is taking pre-orders here.

Alexander Wang, Abbey Lee Kershaw, The XX...this just couldn't get any better! I could watch this video continuously. It is everything I am in love with right now, if there is one person who sums up the Zeitgeist of the time it's Wang- that combined with my favourite model and favourite band. GENIUS!

Topshop Oversized Jumper Dress
Test driving my new buy... As always I'm obsessing over the knitwear that's coming in for next season, I could post all day about my knitwear love however I won't bore you, but this one in particular is just killer. The oversized silhouette, the long arms that swallow up your hands and it has a thick heavy weight finish so it literally hangs off the body! So far I've been chucking it on with these worn out boots and bare legs and it's fast becoming my go to, I'm thinking winter wardrobe staple teamed with tights and a boyfriend coat.

So this summer I've been learning to DJ... just a hobby more than anything but I'm loving it and have never been so into my music! It got me thinking about some of the female DJs who seem to be able to do it all in music, fashion and photography... I'm sure Leigh Lezark springs to mind! But right now I'm loving Rachel Chandler who DJs at Boom Boom Room in New York- currently the 'it hang-out' to see and be seen in NYC, everyone from Chloe Sevigny, Lily Donaldson and Charlotte Kemp hang out there. Rachel has also teamed up with Olivier Zahm and contributed to purple-diary.com with photography of her travels, parties and cool friends, as well as modelling for purple mag! Her pics are amazing and she has said in several interviews she'd love to pursue more photography in the future- she is definitely one to watch.
Well, if you can do it all.......................

Designer after designer brought out their take on the flying/aviator/shearling jacket for fall so I'm guessing it's going to be pretty much the most lusted after wardrobe staple for most (including me!) ADAM and Band of Outsiders may be my favourites amongst this little lot but I've got to say Acne out did them all with their much talked about shearlings, some of which have already sold out. Anyway, unfortunately I don't have that kind of money to hand so I'm planning to rummage through London's second hand/vintage stores to see what I can find.... fingers crossed! Pretty excited about this one as they look so damn cosy.

I came home from a rainy walk in the woods with my two sausage dogs, only to find a fresh delivery of shoes waiting for me. These shoes aren't quite something I would normally fall for, however, the chunky heel left me dreaming of the Louis Vuitton, Prada and Marc Jacobs AW10 shows with their full skirts, classic cuts and practical heels, I am pretty much sold. I will always be a chunky wedge girl at heart...but I don't discriminate and there is more than enough shoe love to go round! On another note I love wrapping up in chunky knits for a rainy walk in the woods, it's the perfect way to get lost in your own thoughts...maybe some heeled hiking boots are next on the wish list.

Me and Minnie are wishing we were back under these beautiful skies with the weather being so disappointing back in England. These amazing shots were taken over Ibiza Harbour... take me back!

Katie Grand blows my mind. From the first fashion and fame issue to the new blood issue and then how could we forget the naked issue, we're now counting down to rosy issue 4! LOVE is without question my favourite super glossy, it never disappoints, and like the rest of the fashion world I can not wait for this to hit shelves as of the 23rd.... not. long. now.
